A farmer's quest for love will hit TV screens later this year, broadcasters have confirmed.
Maldon small-holder Carl Keeble, who also works at Friday Wood Farm in Colchester, has been taking part in a match-making scheme organised by Country Living magazine, which aims to match bachelor farmers with their perfect partners.
A documentary following the progress of the resulting couples' relationships has been made by Thames Television and has now appeared in the ITV brochure for winter programming, meaning it is almost certain to see the light of day before the year is out.
Mr Keeble has promised TV bosses he will not reveal what has happened since he met up with the potential mate he chose from a list of hopefuls invited to a ball in London last summer.
But a spokesman for Thames said all would be revealed when the series went on air.
Exact transmission dates are expected to be announced in April.
