A mum has been banned from keeping animals for ten years after failing to take her 12-year-old lhasa apso dog, which was suffering from ovarian cancer, to the vets.
Eileen Retallick, 66, of New Road, Leigh, admitted causing unnecessary suffering to the animal which had to be put down.
She was give a two-year conditional discharge by Southend magistrates and ordered to pay £170 costs.
