A landscape garden designer will this year exhibit one of his creations at the prestigious Chelsea Flower Show.
James Donoghue, 35, of Hedingham Road, Halstead, will be constructing and exhibiting his revolutionary concept garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in May.
Mr Donoghue has called his design, which can be packed up and moved, "An Englishman's Home is..." and it is inspired by the gardens of Hedingham Castle, where his wife, Diana, works as administrator.
Although he runs his own landscape garden design business, he also lectures at Writtle Agricultural College, near Chelmsford.
Mr Donoghue said: "These days people don't live in houses for very long. The average we stay in one place is about six years.
"The idea behind this garden design is it is all modular and you can move it when you move, it has a lawn and a pond and bushes but they can all be packed up, rolled up and moved."
