Alan White can't wait for tomorrow to get stuck into visiting Crewe Alexandra.
The whole-hearted Colchester United central defender is sweating on a recall from U's boss Steve Whitton after missing out on last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tranmere Rovers because of suspension.
Waiting game - U's defender Alan White is back in the fold for tomorrow's clash with Crewe
"I feel very good after having a week off," said the former Middlesborough and Luton Town hard man.
"I feel all the better for not getting knocked about, but I don't want to miss anymore matches and I hope that I am in the gaffer's squad.
"I hate watching and having already picked up seven yellow cards and one red I must be among the top three bad boys in the Second Division.
"I'm not proud of that fact, but being the type of player I am and playing in the position I do, I feel it is very easy for me to fall foul of the referees at times."
Looking ahead to the match U's boss Steve Whitton said: "The whole squad has been working very hard on our finishing in training this week, putting on match situations like whipping in crosses, pulling back crosses and shooting and heading them in.
"If we get that side of our game right the goals will start going in and we'll move further up the table."
