Children from Earls Hall Junior School in Southend have celebrated using two new zebra crossings.
They were joined by Southend Council's cabinet member in charge of transport, Roger Weaver, and Tory ward councillor Murray Foster.
The crossings, one in Carlton Avenue, and the other in nearby Hobleythick Lane will benefit children at both Earls Hall Junior and Infants Schools as well as youngsters from Prince Avenue Primary School, Southend High School for Boys and the Prittlewell School.
