Sentimental photographs have been found among old Christmas cards dropped off for recycling.
Staff at Harwich Tourist Information Centre discovered hundreds of old pictures in carrier bags at their Christmas card recycling point
The photographs are thought to have been left at the centre in Parkeston Safeway car park on Saturday
Manager Jacqueline Howells said there were about 200 photographs dating back to the 1960s and 1970s. Some are wedding pictures.
She said: "These have been brought in in several bags and they must be sentimental to someone who has thrown them out by mistake."
Anyone who knows about the photographs can call 01255 506139
