Signet are a relatively new youth soccer club with a real ring of confidence about their future.
For the Basildon-based outfit, formed in June 2001 by former Hullbridge under-18 boss Liam Quinn and another dad with just two players as they weren't happy with other teams available for their young sons, can now boast a membership of 80 plus.

Now Signet, who currently play their home games at Laindon's James Hornsby School but hope to move to a ground in Burnt Mills Road, Pitsea, have been awarded the FA's charter standard award.
Liam is chairman of the club and admits: "We're delighted to have received this recognition from the FA in such a short space of time.
"On the mini-soccer front we have two under-7, two under-8 and one under-9 teams and an under-11 side at 11-a-side junior level.
"We're in the process of forming a seventh team and now it's our aim to also have B sides at all levels and for that reason we need extras players and managers."
Those running teams will be FA qualified coaches and first aiders as well as being registered under the child protection act.
If you have a youngster who would like to play for Signet, or are an adult who thinks they have what it takes to be trained as a manager, ring Liam on 07904 972345.
