A young man has appeared in court after swearing at a teacher on school property.
Gavin Foakes, 20, of Mundon Road, Maldon, admitted two charges of causing a disturbance at the town's Upper Plume School in Fambridge Road.
Chelmsford magistrates yesterday heard how Foakes was seen trespassing on the school field by teacher Nigel Brunt, during a school event on June 21.
Mr Brunt spotted Foakes drinking from a can of lager in view of the children and went up to him, asking him to leave.
But Foakes became abusive and swore at the teacher.
Mr Brunt then saw Foakes near the school's tennis courts on July 5.
He again asked him to leave and explained he was trespassing. When Foakes started swearing, the police were called and he was taken to Maldon police station.
Linda Freestone, mitigating, said around that time Foakes' sister was being bullied and he felt the school was not doing much about it.
She added: "The view that he takes now is it was very silly and he does regret it."
Foakes was given a conditional discharge for both offences for one year and ordered to pay £125 costs.
