Elderly residents who have problems crossing an Eastwood road to get to nearby shops are set to be given a boost by Southend Council.
The traffic and parking committee will be asked on Thursday to back changes to parking rules and introduce road humps and a humped pedestrian crossing in Eastwood Old Road.
It will be near the parade of shops which includes Byfords Food Hall and will particularly benefit elderly people in the Brackenbury flats.
