The red-carding of Stanford's prop for stamping helped Billericay to victory in a closely-fought derby.
Darren Watkins got his marching orders in the second period with Billericay leading 6-0. And the visitors took advantage to make it 13-0 with a penalty try after Andy Collings was obstructed by Scott Cooper after chipping forward.

Collings' kicking had been instrumental in the first period. With the wind at their backs, Billericay pushed upfield only to be denied by a tough Stanford defence.
But he did notch two long-range penalties to make it 6-0 at the break. Stanford also attacked well and Billericay were grateful to Grant Norfolk and Sean Norris for their tackling.
Billericay almost added a late score when Nick Wakerley charged down a kick, but he was unable to touch down.
