High chlorine levels which left children with streaming eyes and sore throats forced Southend's Warrior Swim centre to close completely only a day after it reopened.
Action was taken after young members of a swimming club jumped from the pool complaining of a reaction after just ten minutes.
The Borough of Southend Swimming Club is angry children were allowed to get into water with such high levels of chlorine.
