Environmentally-friendly Prince Charles has been called upon to back the campaign against expanding Stansted Airport.
But the heir to the throne has declined to get involved, though said he understands residents' concerns.
His staff have vowed all concerns voiced from local people to the Prince of Wales about the airport will be forwarded to the Government.
Stebbing Parish Council chairman Michael Kingdom wrote to St James' Palace asking for the future king's support against more runways being built at London's third airport.
