Lisa Ingall is in the right frame of mind for an assault on the women's snooker World Championships in April.
The Wickford player cruised through to the semi-finals of the Regal Welsh Open at Cwmbran at the weekend before losing in a close-fought encounter.
Lisa Ingall - hoping for success at the World Championships in April
But Lisa aims to boost her form in two more tournaments in a bid to beat the losing semi-finalist status she achieved at the worlds in 2000.
And despite losing 4-3 to Lynette Horsburgh in the semis in Wales, Lisa is in confident mood.
"Obviously it was disappointing to lose 4-3 but I had a great tournament," she said.
"There was nothing in it and the match was really won on the toss of a coin when Lynette edged me out in the final frame.
"I think my game is coming together and I have been working hard with my coach, John Westcott. I'm playing well and am happy with my form.
"Hopefully when I get to the World Championships I will play well and have a chance of winning."
Lisa beat Reanne Evans 3-1 in the first round and Caroline Walsh 3-0 in the quarter-finals to meet Lynette in the semis.
Lynette will meet reigning world champ Kelly Fisher --the player who defeated Lisa in the World Championships three years ago -- in the final at Cardiff later this month.
Lisa -- sponsored by Billericay's JB Florists -- is back in action at the Connie Goss Memorial Tournament in Luton on February 1-2 and the East Anglian Open at Cambridge a month later.
