The future of a planned memorial garden along Canvey seafront will be decided by councillors on Tuesday night.
A proposal to turn an area of Eastern Esplanade, into a remembrance garden has been put forward by Canvey 2000, the regeneration project.
If the proposal is passed the garden will be put in place to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1953 east coast floods which killed 59 people on the island.
