The biggest ladies' gym in the county has officially opened its doors on Canvey.
Bosses at the Island Gym based in Viking Way on the Charfleets industrial estate, launched their new ladies' area on New Year's Day.
The £150,000 project, which was started only last November, has doubled the complex's size. Ground space is now 7,000 square feet - or approximately a third of an acre.

The new fitness suite includes a sunbed centre which will help islanders beat the winter blues. It is equipped with four "lay down" beds and two "stand up" booths.
The facility also includes a sauna, running machines, exercise bikes, steppers and a selection of weights and toners.
And for mums with young children who would otherwise be unable to use the gym, there is also a free creche which will be open for a few hours each morning.
Gym manager Scott Petty said the facility was desperately needed and said he first came up with the idea in November last year when development began.
He said: "We were so busy we couldn't cope.
"We have a lot of people travelling from other areas to our gym because there is nowhere else for them to train."
