A wealth of well-known faces will be popping up at the Mercury this year as part of the Colchester theatre's new spring and summer season.
As reported in the Evening Gazette a few weeks ago, the Mercury has already announced the three company productions taking place for the first part of the year and today it announced the remainder of the season.
Once again there is a varied bill of music, drama and variety shows which starts on February 10 with the Irish play, Alone It Stands, based on the events surrounding the game between Munster Rugby team and the mighty All Blacks.
Among the more familiar names appearing during the rest of the season are Colin Baker and Louise Jameson in Corpse and Allo Allo's Vicki Michelle and Robert Duncan from Drop The Dead Donkey in Don't Dress For Dinner.
There will also be a one-off show from Clive James and fertility expert Lord Robert Winston will be giving the town's annual lecture.
Tickets are on general sale from Friday, January 10, from the Mercury Theatre Box Office on 01206 573948.
