Two people have been arrested by police probing a suspicious fire in Braintree.
Firefighters from Braintree and Coggeshall were called to a house in Rana Drive at about 6pm last night.
The house was well alight and was believed to be badly damaged.
The windows were boarded up today.
An Essex Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said no-one was injured in the blaze.
Fire investigation officers were at the scene last night and a police scenes of crime team were due at the address today.
A police officer was on guard at the property all night to protect the scene.
A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of arson and are today helping detectives with their inquiries.
