A village garage has reopened after being closed for about eight months.
Father and son, Peter and Dick Barnard, have bought the former Thorpe Cross Garage in Frinton Road, Thorpe.
The pair already have a similar operation in Wix, which they have run for the past six years.
They have put Keith Rose in to manage the Thorpe site for them.
"Peter and Dick used to live in Thorpe and they are delighted to have renewed their commitment to the village," said Mr Rose.
"They have a lot of connections here and were pleased to purchase the site and reopen the facility for residents."
The garage carries out general servicing, MOTs and repairs.
It also looks after Frinton and Walton Community Minibuses.
