A major community centre is facing a cash crisis after its playing fields were invaded by travellers.
Hockley Community Centre in Westminster Drive was one of a number of sites in the Rochford area where the travellers camped.
It cost the centre £11,663 to remove the travellers and will be asking Rochford District Council at its meeting on January 14 for help towards paying these crippling costs.
