The Southend Borough Combination has become the first confirmed weekend victims of the weather.
Tomorrow's fixtures have all been postponed following negotiations between the league and Southend Council.
The sustained wet weather has left council pitches and the Combination's Eastwoodbury Lane headquarters waterlogged.
And the situation is the same at Cupids Country Club, where standing water means the pitches cannot be marked out. "It's a hell of a blow for us," admitted combination chairman Len Forge.
"We had a meeting with the council and there is no way that we can go ahead.
"It is the third week that we have lost fixtures; we lost 14 the first week, all of them last week and it's the same again this week."
The decision means that the Southend Sunday League, Southend Borough Combination Veterans League and the Sceptre Sunday League are also under threat as they use either council pitches or Eastwoodbury Lane.
