Edwards Hall Junior School have won soccer's Eastwood Cup for the third time running.
They travelled to Eastwood Secondary School to defend the trophy for the second time and won through the group qualifiers with ease.
They beat Prince Avenue 1-0, had a goalless draw with Westleigh B and triumphed 3-0 over St Christopher's.
The semi-final against Westborough, who were also unbeaten. After each side had been denied goals from respective penalties, the tie had to be decided by a spot-kick shoot-out.
Edwards Hall were 1-0 down after two penalties, but Matthew Bone pulled them back into the proceedings with a finely struck shot left of the goalkeeper.
Some spectacular work from Matthew Arrowsmith in goal kept the defending champions in contention and further spot-kicks from Daniel Gilbert and Chris Bush saw them through to the final with a 3-1 success.
The final proved to be a tough match against Milton Hall and, although Edwards Hall piled on the pressure, some fine saves from the opposition keeper kept the scores level.
The only goal of the game came in the last minute when a clever pass from Jack Richmond found Chris Bush unmarked and he struck the ball into the bottom corner with his left-foot.
