How about a marathon challenge in the New Year?
If your New Year's resolution is to get fit, why not put it to good use for charity.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are inviting wannabe runners to apply for their Golden Bond places.
And if you have already secured your place, the charity is asking you to help raise money for their work.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People train mostly rescued dogs to live with deaf people to alert them to everday household sounds.
The charity relies solely on donations from the public and needs dedicated people to run for them in the London marathon.
Sarah Chillingworth, of Clacton, is the new Eastern region organiser for the charity and hopes to line up a team of runners from the area.
Anyone interested is asked to contact her on 01255 429976 for details.
