Children had fun celebrating the Hindu festival of Diwali as part of their multi-cultural curriculum.
Pupils at Greensted Infant School and Nursery made clay deities and decorated their hands during a week of workshops linked to traditional Diwali activities.
Trish Hardy, headteacher at Greensted School, said: "We are having an exciting time with a cross-curricular, practical approach to delivering the national curriculum."

Diwali is the most well-known of the Indian festivals and signifies the renewal of life.
The children are making clay Diva lamps, devising Rangoli patterns and decorating their hands with Mendi designs.
