An open day is being staged for families interested to learn more about a new nursery initiative being set up in Clacton.
The facility will be up and running at Colbayns High School from January.
And although it is partly aimed at helping to provide places for the children of teachers in the town, it is open to all.
It is starting with 30 places. Keely Hogben, of Nanna's Nursery, said the open day is being put on at Point Clear on Saturday.
"There are still places available for children at the new nursery for everyone, and not just teachers' children," she said.
A special recruitment day is also being put on at Clacton Jobcentre on Monday to get staff for the unit.
Initially the need is for employees with experience and qualifications to manage the nursery.
As the site increases they will also be looking for extra assistants with childcare qualifications.
