Chalvedon Boxing Club's Chris Rooks got his boxing career off to a dream start at a show at Rayleigh Mill Boxing Club.
The 21-year-old Wickford debutant stopped M Stacey (Haddenham) with as superb left hook in the second round of a scheduled three-rounder.
It was a night of success for trainer Frank Doyle's Chalvedon club as K Della also enjoyed a good points win in a senior contest against T Cook (Fitzroy Lodge).
Chalvedon's Tony Edwards was beaten by Belhus Park's W Stock on a unanimous points verdict, while Steve O'Flynn lost on a majority verdict against P O'Rourke (Chelmsford).
Club-mate Jermaine Morgan was forced to retire in the second round with an injured hand against J Stock (Belhus Park).
Schoolboy ace Johnny Lee beat L Goodjohn (Haddenham) on a unanimous points verdict, but Lee Martin was beaten by Rayleigh Mill's J Wright.
