Four people were arrested and another two fined in a police operation to crack down on late-night crime in South Woodham.
Police are hailing the operation a great success because the town was free of vandalism on Friday night. They say that will repeat it this weekend.
The move, code-named Operation Lara, saw 12 officers on patrol in Trinity Square and surrounding areas on Friday night, as well as two dog handlers and an evidence gatherer with a video camera.
Acting Inspector Graeme Dowsett said: "We adopted a low tolerance to public disorder and it was very successful."
