Rain did not dampen the spirits of guests at one special wedding
For Melissa Hawkins and George Newbury's big day was celebrated in front of all their friends at Wix Methodist Church.
But the happy and excited bride and groom were both only SIX years old, and the mock wedding was arranged as part of their religious education curriculum.
Pupils in year two at Wix and Wrabness Primary School have been learning about places of worship and celebrations.
They used their ICT skills to design and make invitations and their technology skills to prepare the wedding breakfast, including a five-tier wedding cake.
Some of the children took on parts of the bride's mother and father, bridesmaids, best man and wedding guests while others were photographers and ushers.
The ceremony was conducted by the Rev Simon Coleman and all the children at the school attended.
Teachers Sarah Wood and Teresa Cole organised the event with support from other staff and parents.
Head Ann Tingey said it had been an exciting day for the children.
"Not only did they learn a great deal but they had much fun in the process," she said.
