The Scottish and Newcastle hotel is expected to cater for both the business and tourist trade in the town. It is the first purpose-built new hotel on the seafront for more than 50 years.
The new building is expected to open in the New Year. Its construction led to the closure of the long-established Halfway Yacht Club which occupied the site on lease from the brewery.
