Money made by Chelmsford Council from hosting the popular two-day V2002 pop festival is to be pumped into a programme of special events in the county town next year.
Councillors agreed the initiative would be a good move for the town at an executive meeting last night.
Along with the return of Chelmsford Spectacular, plans for new festivals, evening concerts and more events were supported.
