A nightclub doorman collapsed and broke down crying in the dock at Chelmsford Crown Court as he was jailed for assaulting a teenager.
Kenneth York, 33, punched a 19-year-old man in the face, fracturing his nose, after an incident in a Braintree street.
The court heard yesterday how York, of John Kent Avenue, Colchester, got annoyed when he saw David Hopkins looking at his customised Volkswagen Golf car.
York told him: "Get away from my car" but when Mr Hopkins said he was just looking, York stormed over and told him to get away from the car before punching him.
York admitted a charge of actual bodily harm on February 3 and was jailed for three months. The conviction meant he would now lose his licence as a doorman.
