Steve Maltby and Duncan Taylor were the stars as Rayleigh beat Hullbridge B 8-1 in the Southend and District Table Tennis League Premier Division.
In Division One, Hullbridge C opened up a gap at the top after two good wins over struggling Lentern B and Customs A. Tim Pang and Howard Grant both scored hat-tricks against the aircraft team.
Invicta A are second after defeating Hullbridge E 5-4 and a Mark Everard maximum helped Forum B stay in touch with a 7-2 success against Rawreth E.
Division Two action saw Lentern C beat Invicta B 5-4, while in Division Three, Gus Heath was the hero for Rawreth G as his trio of victories clinched a 5-4 triumph over Canvey D.
