There were happy faces all round as members of the Mid-Essex Police Horsewatch presented a hospital with £1,000.
The Post-Natal Unit at St John's Hospital, in Chelmsford, received the money at South Woodham Ferrers police station.

Part of the money, raised at the Horsewatch's annual show on September 8, was also given to the South Woodham Ferrers Army Cadets, who helped set up the show, Hatfield Peverel Girl Guides and £100 for the Horsewatch itself.
The September show, which itself cost about £1,000 to stage, included two rings for showing horses and showjumping.
In the four years the show has been held, the Horsewatch has raised over £6,700.
