A Colchester PE teacher is now a Scottish International basketball player.
Kirsty Clark of Philip Morant School and College has recently been promoted to full Scottish International honours.
She plays for Ipswich Bobcats in the Women's National Conference every Saturday evening in Ipswich Maiden Hall Sports Centre. She is a forward/centre player.
Clark, 28, who was raised in Blairgowrie in the county of Perthshire was invited to attend Scottish trials last year and was picked to play in the Four Nations Tournament in Brighton and another Four Nations in Luxembourg.
She said: "I enjoy playing international basketball against the best in Europe and it is an honour to represent my country. I am looking forward to an exciting season."
The Philip Morant teacher runs the basketball teams at the school and a number of students have played for the Essex Youth Team.
