Canvey's bottom-of-the-table clash with Maldon descended into farce as the referee sinbinned four Islanders.
Three of them -- Dave Gillespie (raking), Brett Smith (barging) and Jason Carter (dissent) -- were off the pitch at the same time.
John Cutts was also absent sorting out his contact lenses, leaving the Islanders down to 11 men.
A furious coach Richard Smith said: "The sin-binnings had nothing to do with the loss, but it was farcical.
"Myself and three senior players were thinking about packing up the game we love because of the referee."
