Amir and his 13-year-old brother fell off the bike when a car in front braked suddenly and the pair were then run over by a lorry.
The victim is the latest casualty to be brought to this country by George and Lisa Henry, who run Humanitarian Aid Project for Eastern Europe (HAPEE) from their home in Leigh View Drive, Leigh.
Last month, the tireless couple travelled with conjoined twins Ahmad and Muhammad bin Rosli to Saudi Arabia where, thanks to the generosity of Crown Prince Abdullah, they were successfully separated.
