Colchester United chief executive Marie Partner said today the club has no immediate plans to tighten up its code of conduct after incurring a spate of early season red cards.
Her statement came after central defender Alan White was sent-off in the 80th minute of Friday night's 4-2 Second Division defeat at Mansfield.
It was the U's fifth red card in only 19 League and cup outings already three more than last season.
Partner said: "It's something that will probably be discussed at the next board meeting, but at the moment we are happy with the disciplinary code already in operation.
"Don't forget, the large majority of our squad are the same players that won the Division Two Fair Play Award last season."
The U's incurred just two red and 59 yellow cards last term compared to five red and 18 yellow in the first three months of the current campaign.
Partner said she has no idea why this year's disciplinary figures appear worse than last season's.
