Police are hunting thieves who broke into a house in Hillway, Westcliff and stole jewellery worth £11,500.
Items including a ladies Gucci wristwatch and a diamond and sapphire ring were among the haul grabbed between last Tuesday and Friday.
Anyone offered jewellery on the cheap should contact Det Con John Holden, of Southend CID, on 01702 431212.
