Popstars: The Rivals reject Chloe Staines vowed today: "I'll be back".

The Chelmsford 18-year-old was voted off the television search for a girl and boy band on Saturday night.

But Chloe said today she would not give up on her bid for stardom.

She was one of two girls ousted from the ITV show on Saturday after getting the fewest votes from the public.

Offers have already been flooding in for the all-singing, all-dancing former Rainsford High schoolgirl.

Her mum Dawn Staines said Chloe, who is due home later this week, already has other things in the pipeline since her appearance and her elimination could be a blessing in disguise.

"You haven't heard the last of her yet. She'll be back, without a doubt. Chloe's got a lot of strings to her bow. Watch this space."

She said the choreographer of the show was convinced the teenager has got what it takes to make it in the West End.

But she hit out at the way her daughter was treated by outspoken pop mogul and judge Pete Waterman, who said soul classic Rescue Me was too difficult for her to pull off.

She said: "She was very unfairly spoken to by Pete Waterman. His comments were totally unjust and didn't do much for her cause."
