All homes across Essex which were left without electricity after the devastating storms have finally got their power back.
High winds eight days ago cut off power to an estimated 100,000 homes across the county.
An estimated 1,100 houses within a radius of Chelmsford, reaching up to Maldon and Witham, were still without essential power on Friday, with virtually all those affected living in rural areas.
In the Tendring district, in the outlying villages between Colchester and Clacton, a further 70 were still waiting for the service to be reinstated but a spokesman said their power has now been restored.
The last 100 homes were connected last night.
The company's managing director Alan Carey had hoped power would be restored at the weekend.
Staff had been working round the clock and at the height of the problem 300,000 homes across East Anglia had been cut off.
24Seven wants to hear from people who are still without power even though their community has been switched back on.
They should call 0800 7838838 to report any problems.
