Heybridge Swifts' mouthwatering FA Cup first round clash against Bristol City WILL be held at Scraley Road.

A ground check by the police yesterday and discussions with the FA have given the ground the green light for Heybridge to stage the match on home turf.

The biggest game in the club's history will take place on November 16 with a 12.30pm kick-off.

Swifts manager Dave Greene simply described the decision as 'fantastic'.

He told the Evening Gazette: "I can't wait for it, the atmosphere is going to be electric.

"With the game now being held at home I believe we have a chance.

"It gives the lads more confidence and might unsettle Bristol and if we concentrate and perform well we can do it."

The ground has a capacity of 3,750, however the police have reduced that to 3,000 and will be all ticket for the tie for safety reasons, but Greene is sure that this won't stop the ground from 'jumping'.

The average crowd at Scraley Road is around 250, but Greene hopes that this will improve with the match.
