The men of Southend hockey club continued their excellent start to the season by maintaining their respective unbeaten runs.
An entertaining 4-2 victory over Brentwood put the mens first team top of the Printwise League.
Brentwood scored two early goals, but they were soon wiped out by strikes from Neil Utton and James Morgan.
The Seasiders stepped up a gear and went on to take complete control of the match, with Orson Carter and Dave Robeson capping a fine win.
Four goals from super striker Keith Arnold put Southend's second string top of the pile as they whitewashed Chelmsford 4-0.
