A young girl stole the show when she took to the stage to sing.
Bronte Naylor-Jones, who has been singing with the Essex Youth Roadshow for more than 18 months, performed at the BAE Systems Social Club, in Basildon.
The evening was to raise money for youngsters who often perform for free and Bronte, 11, of South Woodham Ferrers, was just one of nine acts.
Organiser Stef Parry said: "Everyone was astonished at how good and professional Bronte was and many people didn't believe she was only 11.
"She was excellent and we will certainly be asking her to appear here again."
Bronte, a pupil at Elmwood Primary School, said: "The Young Americans workshop at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon was phenomenal and it showed me the difference between just singing and performing."
