Matt Holland admits he and his team-mates have an extra incentive ahead of tonight's showdown with Slovan Liberec.
Players from the Czech side were delighted to draw Ipswich at this second round hurdle, claiming they were one of the weaker sides left in the UEFA Cup.
But nothing, according to Town skipper Holland, could be further from the truth.
And he said: "Those comments have given us an extra spur to do a good job tonight.
"More than anything, though, we just want to win because results breed confidence.
"In terms of history, we've got a great home record in Europe. But more recently we've relied on our away form to get us through.
"Last year we only drew at home to Torpedo Moscow and Helsingborgs, before finishing the job in Russia and Sweden.
"This time, it would be nice to get a win under our belts so we've got something to defend in the second leg."
