A real flavour of the Egyptians was given to pupils at Kingsford Junior School in Colchester.
During a special Egyptian day pupils worked with teachers looking at Egyptian design work, making their own artifacts and even sarcophagi.

They also had the chance to enjoy performance by Aesop's Tales, a visiting company, which involved plenty of audience participation.
The day tied in with work the children in years three and four had been doing in recent history lessons.
