Family members today paid tribute to Witham teenager Joseph Wright who died in a car accident
Joseph, 18, of Munro Road, Witham, was described as thoughtful and kind and someone who would help anyone.
He was a passenger in a car with an 18-year-old driver, and two other passengers aged 18, which left the road and rolled over at Ashes Road, Cressing, last Wednesday
He was thought to be going back to one of their houses.
His mother Linda Wright said: "He was very, very thoughtful and kind and didn't like a fuss."
She said Joseph, one of four children, had started a Prince's Trust course at Chelmsford in September and was hoping to become a plumber.
Joseph, who was epileptic, was quite sporty and liked football - supporting Arsenal - snooker and swimming.
And he was a loving uncle to a niece and two nephews, she said.
Joseph was a former pupil at Templars School and Rickstones School in Witham.
Headteacher at Rickstones, Terry Canty, said: "Joseph was a popular student at Rickstones School from 1995 to 2000."
"He had an excellent attendance record, he was a lively and enthusiastic member of a tutor group."
The family thanked the emergency services for their actions.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash, which happened at about 9.30pm on October 23, to contact Bocking traffic police on 01376 330722
