There was a remarkable performance from Lynsey Armitage when the New Campbell national netball club staged a demonstration match against Hucclecote at Gloucester Leisure Centre.

She was undoubtedly player of the match as goal shooter and the Southend based girl shot 66 of the 68 total scored.

She had a 100 per cent scoring record in the first two quarters which dropped only to 94 per cent for the third and 89 per cent for the fourth.

Overall, Lynsey's statsistics show she scored an outstanding 95 per cent -- an outstanding 63 shots out of 66 attempts.

It's performances such as this which have seen Lynsey not surprisingly called up by the England development squad.

Another famous "local face" was veteran former England captain Jillean Hipsey, who came on in the third quarter as a goal attack.

The former Laindon and Woodham girl helped the team develop the confidence they needed to win the game.

It was after her arrival that they started to pull away to lead 51-43 at the end of the third quarter and to eventually win 68-59.
