Police are hunting a roadside raider who stole money during a terrifying gunpoint robbery.
Two men, a 20-year-old, from Basildon, and a 19-year-old, from Ongar, were at a bus stop when the frightening ordeal took place last week.
Police are hoping passengers travelling on a bus would have seen the incident and can provide information to detectives hunting the robber.
The robbery happened near Four Wantz Corner, in Ongar, which is overlooked by a green bus shelter where police hope witnesses were looking on.
Three men, all described as black, were said to have pulled up in a dark-coloured Saab car and one of the men pulled out a handgun.
They stole a wallet and a small amount of cash and left the scene in an unknown direction. An Essex Police spokesman said: "The two victims were shaken but were not injured."
The man with the gun is described as being in his late 20s, 6ft tall, stocky with a muscular build, wearing a black roll-neck jumper and jeans.
The second man is also in his 20s, between 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins tall, with a thin face and short black hair. He was wearing a grey v-neck top. There is no description of the third man.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at 11pm on Thursday, October 24, is asked to call Harlow CID on 01279 641212.
