The family of "a loving and trusting girl" who died in a car accident have paid tribute to her.
Former Braintree College student Sarah Jones, 20, of Josselin Close, Earls Colne, was a front seat passenger in a red Nissan Micra car which was in a collision with a Ford Maverick on Sunday morning.
Sarah, a former pupil of Earls Colne Primary School and Ramsey School in Halstead, died at the scene of the crash close to the Essex Golf and Country Club in Coggeshall Road, Earls Colne.
In a statement her parents Gary and Barbara said: "Sarah was unique, a young lady with tomboy style, a loving a trusting girl who enjoyed the company of her friends and family.
"A girl with attitude who believed in herself and her inner strength while presenting a softer, more vulnerable personality to the world."
Sarah also leaves a brother, Christopher, and special friends Daniel, Emma, Kate, Chris, Rob and Anna
Sarah enjoyed music art and artistic work and involvement in her hobbies, reading computer aided design photography and drama.
