Southend United defender Stephen Broad admitted he has revenge on his mind following Friday night's 1-0 Roots Hall defeat against Third Division leaders Hartlepool.
Blues were handed a home tie against the north-east outfit during the weekend's FA Cup first round draw, scheduled for Saturday, November 16.
And Broad, whose early mistake led to Eifion Williams' match winner for Pools, said he hoped to make amends.
"It was my error and I hold my hands up," said the 22-year-old. "I slipped over, gave the ball away and they punished us for it. They didn't muck about and that is why they are top of the League.
"I was naturally disappointed as the goal was down to me. It was a massive game for us as and to give away a soft goal in the first minute was suicidal.
"But I hope I'm in the team when Hartlepool visit Roots Hall in the FA Cup so I can make amends."
Shrimpers chief Rob Newman tried to remain upbeat. "We got off to a terrible start," he said. "All the players were shouting before the game, but they obviously aren't switched on when they get out there as we let a goal in after just 52 seconds.
"But I couldn't knock the lads for their determination and work rate after that. We gave Hartlepool a good fight and should have come away with a point."
