A woman had to be cut free from her vehicle after being involved in an accident.
The crash happened in Margaretting Road, Chelmsford, just after 7pm on Friday.
Firefighters from Chelmsford and Great Baddow, along with a rescue tender from Colchester, spent nearly an hour releasing the driver from her Vauxhall Corsa. She was taken to hospital with suspected back injuries.
Two other people in a BMW also involved in the accident suffered slight injuries.
